What a joy it is, by God’s grace, to work alongside my precious daughters to bring Know and Grow Books into your home!
My name is Sherlin Benixon. I’m a daughter, wife, mother, and educator who enjoys creative work, singing, and writing. My professional experience includes working as a Research Analyst, Web Designer and Developer, and Assistant Professor.
During my ten-year career break as a Mom, I had the opportunity to spend more time studying God’s Word. I memorized Scripture, studied the original biblical languages and explored its meaning, historical and archaeological evidence, and teachings more deeply.
My vision is to share God’s love with children, helping them connect Scripture to everyday life, grow in their understanding of His Word, and discover the wonders of His creation. Know and Grow books focus on the real, everyday challenges children face rather than taking a fantasy-based approach. Through these stories, I hope to help young readers understand how God’s Word can transform their lives, strengthen their faith, and equip them to face the world with boldness and courage and make an eternal impact.

Meet Rowena

Hello! My name is Rowena Christhuraj, and I graduated from San José State University’s Animation and Illustration program. I’m a concept artist with a special interest in live-action film.
Outside of concept art, I enjoy writing and experimenting with a variety of creative mediums. I’m always looking for opportunities to create something new!
Meet Gabby
Gabriella · Daughter, proofreader & idea generator
Every children’s book needs a child’s touch to bring it to life. And guess what? Gabby is the one who helps me with that!
She is my loving daughter, proofreader, and idea generator—and she has an amazing voice! Whenever she sings, I stop just to listen. She has a wonderful gift for both narration and singing.
Her favorite activities are swimming, skiing, and playing basketball. She also loves studying God’s Word in depth. And she is a crazy reader — that was one of my inspirations to write children’s books!
We sometimes assume that children are too young to understand deeper truths, but Gabby has helped me see otherwise. Even at a young age, children can understand, discern, ask thoughtful questions, think critically, and make meaningful connections. The resources we place in their hands play a vital role in nurturing their faith and understanding.
